Due to the items being exclusive and unique to this offering, we’re going to do a theoretical breakdown in price using comparable items found on Amazon and Ebay: More Funko: DC Legion of Collectors – January 2018 “Teen Titans” Unboxing Because these characters aren’t always represented outside of the comics, their rare appearance here may eventually turn them into sought after collectibles. Aside from Hal Jordan, Funko concentrated on the lesser known members of the Green Lantern Corps (not to say that Guy Gardner isn’t known-he’s just not as famous or iconic). The characters selected were also quite interesting. Funko truly delivered on value this month and I’m sure fans are going to be quite surprised and happy. The primary reason people go for a Funko subscription box is to collect their favorite character in Pop! form. Final Round-UpĮven without the t-shirt, stress ball, or Pint Size Heroes, this box would’ve been worth it because of the three Pop!s. The small ring and his pose complete his commanding look. As a trainer to many famous Green Lanterns, his resilience and tough demeanor are perfectly captured in this Pop!-ified form. Kilowog may be a small figure here, but his presence is as big as ever. Like Hal Jordan, some of these later Green Lanterns also resonated with fans. And let’s not forget the concept of a “Green” Lantern was also expanded upon with the introduction of Lanterns of many other colors-each representing a specific facet of humanity. Throughout the years, multiple Green Lanterns have shown their rings in the DC Universe. ![]() This Silver Age Green Lantern expanded on the myth and also introduced the Green Lantern Corps. However, it wasn’t until 1959 when the most famous of the Green Lanterns made his debut-Hal Jordan. Green Lantern made his first appearance in All-American Comics #16 (July 1940) with the character of Alan Scott wielding the famous ring. This month, the company dedicates its DC-centric subscription box to a team of very important individuals who have been largely ignored (sans their very brief appearance in Wonder Woman (2017)) by the DC Extended Universe-the Green Lantern Corps.
